Born in the village of Zhyvachiv, (Obertynsk, now Tlumatsk, district, Stanislav region).

until 1923
Studied at the Stanislav Seminary.

1923
Ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Hryhorii (Khomyshyn) in Stanislav.

1923-1935
Worked as catechist at the Stanislav schools and gymnasiums (information according to the 1935 Schematism), taught at the Seminary.

June 1945
First arrest.

June 24, 1946
Sentenced according to Statute 54-10 No 2 KK USSR for 10 years hard labor.

November 15, 1954
Released. Returned to Stanislav. Conducted active underground pastoral work, prepared candidates for the priesthood, wrote manuscripts of religious books.

from 1957
Underground Bishop of Stanislav.

October 22-23, 1962 (April 4, 1963, according to B. Botsiurkiv)
Arrested a second time. Sentenced according to statute 209 no. 1 KK USSR for 5 years loss of freedom in hard labor colonies. Served his sentence in the Ivano-Frankivsk prison.

1967
Released. Continued episcopal service, specifically the ordination of new underground Greek Catholic priests.

November 30, 1968
Ordained Sofron (Dmyterko) to the episcopacy.

December 12, 1973

Died in Ivano-Frankivsk.

February 26, 1992
Rehabilitated from the second imprisonment by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Court due to the absence of a committed crime.

2001
Beatified as martyr.
