Assigned by the metropolitan, Father Doctor Josyf Slipyj was responsible for all the affairs of the Academy from its establishment until April 14, 1929, when he was named rector. Father Doctor T. Halushchynskyi, OSBM, was chosen as dean at a session of the college of professors on March 12, 1929.
Metropolitan Andrey was named rector of the Theological Academy for three years. He then named Father Slipyj as rector from 1928/29 until 1938/39. Father Tyt Myshkovskyi was the pro-rector of the Academy.
