He has collaborated with the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies in Ottawa (Canada) for the last several years. In July 1998 he was appointed professor of the History of Ukrainian and Eastern Churches in the Theology Department. He defended his doctoral thesis, Christian Social Ethics in Ukraine: The Legacy of Andrey Sheptytsky at St. Paul University in Ottawa. Prof. Kravchuk is the author and editor of a number of scholarly writings and documentaries, including Index of Ukrainian Catholic Periodicals in Galicia from 1871 to 1942, Lviv, 2001, and is also a bibliographer.
